Sculptra®

Sculptra® is a popular brand of cosmetic injectable. A dermal filler primarily composed of poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA)*, Sculptra® can replenish facial volume, improve skin texture, and revitalize the appearance with exceptionally long-lasting results compared to other fillers.

The main ingredient in Sculptra®, PLLA, is a biocompatible and biodegradable synthetic substance that can stimulate collagen production in the deeper dermal layers of the skin. The treatment typically involves multiple injection sessions, spaced a few weeks apart, to achieve optimal results. Over the following weeks and months, the body’s collagen production should gradually flourish, leading to a natural-looking improvement in the treated areas.

Our experienced team at Lifestyle Solutions MedSpa have offered cosmetic injectables for more than 10 years. We are committed to personalized results and compassionate, one-on-one care. Read on for more information about this innovative dermal filler.

What Are the Benefits of Sculptra®?

Sculptra® was specifically developed for facial volume restoration, which can make it an ideal treatment for patients who wish to address a “sunken” or “hollow” look in certain facial features. In particular, Sculptra® can reduce the appearance of:

  • Volume loss or skin laxity in the cheeks, temples, or mid-face area
  • Facial wrinkles, such as marionette lines
  • Nasolabial folds

Notably, the effects of Sculptra® can last significantly longer than those of other dermal fillers – sometimes even as long as two years. The results can be very natural-looking and subtle, especially when the treatment is administered by a qualified provider. As an additional advantage, Sculptra® injections do not usually require an extensive recovery period or downtime, and most consider the procedure minimally invasive.

What Is the Sculptra® Treatment Like?

Before your Sculptra® injections, we will meet with you for a consultation to discuss your goals, assess your suitability for the treatment, and develop a customized plan. We will also evaluate your facial anatomy, address any concerns or questions you may have, and explain the procedure in detail.

During the session, we will cleanse the treatment area and apply a topical anesthetic if you so desire. From there, your provider will inject the PLLA solution into the deeper layers of your skin using a fine needle. After each injection, we may gently massage the treated area to distribute the solution evenly and minimize the risk of lumps or nodules forming.

It should be noted that the Sculptra® treatment is usually not a one-time procedure. Depending on your individual needs, multiple treatment sessions, typically spaced a few weeks apart, may be required to achieve the desired results. This generally allows for gradual collagen stimulation and natural-looking improvement over time.

How Much Does Sculptra® Cost?

Per RealSelf.com, the average price of Sculptra® is approximately $600 to $1,000 per vial.* With that in mind, please understand that the price will depend not only on the amount of Sculptra® being injected, but also the number of sessions, the extent of treatment, the precise location of the injections, the addition of complementary procedures, and other factors.

During your consultation, we will provide you with a quote for your care. Please note that we offer eligible patients the chance to pay for their care with CareCredit®, a reputable third-party financier. For more information, explore our financing options
